Coventry University Kazakhstan is a unique partnership between Coventry University and Primus Education LLP. This exciting venture, set to launch in September 2024, is a significant milestone in Kazakhstan’s international education strategy. It proudly stands as the first British university campus in the heart of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
The new Coventry University Kazakhstan campus has been created in response to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s vision to globalize the education system in Kazakhstan. Coventry University Kazakhstan will offer a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Astana. There will be a focus on education and teaching studies that will contribute to the development of teachers within the country. This development also aligns closely with Coventry University Group’s vision to develop new overseas campuses, bringing quality British education to thousands of students worldwide while allowing them to remain in their home country.
Coventry University Kazakhstan will be developed in two phases over the coming years. Phase one will commence in a city centre location, offering world-class facilities for students, including interactive study spaces, a vibrant social space, a wellstocked library, and café facilities. The campus will be delivering a range of undergraduate degrees in business and computing and an MBA programme. Further programme development will occur each year creating a diverse range of programmes.
Phase two sees the development of brand-new state-of-the-art campus facilities in a new area in Astana, hosting up to 4,000 students. This new campus will be home to everything a student needs, including innovative study spaces, cutting-edge technology, library and learning spaces, students’ union, social spaces, sporting facilities, student accommodation and catering options. Most courses will transfer to the new campus, which is expected to open in 2026- 27, while some part-time professional programmes will remain at the city centre.
