Full Scholarships, where Foundation Year applicants could be completely exempted from their tuition fees during the whole study at Coventry University Kazakhstan on condition of maintaining a specific performance level throughout their university years.
Partial Scholarships are offered to applicants, applying to the Foundation programme, who could be partially exempted from their tuition fees during the whole study at Coventry University Kazakhstan on condition of maintaining a specific performance level throughout their study period.
Rules and regulations for obtaining Full/Partial Scholarships
- Merit-based scholarships are awarded based on the decision of the Independent Scholarship Committee for outstanding academic achievements, sports accomplishments, exceptional talents in the arts, confirmed by top places in national and international Olympiads, competitions, exhibitions, and contests, as well as contributions in other significant fields (technology, social projects, etc.), with the provision of portfolios and project descriptions when necessary.
- Needs-based scholarships are awarded to strong applicants who demonstrate financial need through their personal statement. Following the Scholarship Committee's decision, applicants may be asked to submit further documentation verifying their financial circumstances.
- The admission criteria for any scholarship policy rely solely on recognized performance as the main measure for acceptance.
Students considered for any of the full or partial scholarships must submit their application before 5th July 2024.
- Graduates of high schools and colleges.
- Proficiency in English: Minimum IELTS 5.5 (with no section below 5.0) or equivalent TOEFL IBT scores.
- Average academic score of school certificate: at least 4.75 out of 5.00 (95%).
- Certificates of distinction in International and/or Republican Olympiads/competitions within the last 3 years.
- Motivational letter/essay limited to 500-700 words.
- Applicant's video statement (maximum 2 minutes).
- Letter of recommendation (during the application, you will be prompted to provide contact details of your referee. The Scholarship Commission will liaise directly).
- "Altyn Belgi" distinction.
- Unified National Test (ЕНТ) score: minimum 100 out of 140.
Requirements to Maintain the Scholarship
- Maintain a full course load in the Fall and Spring semesters.
- Successfully pass all modules.
- Retaken and withdrawn courses are not covered.
