Coventry University Kazakhstan is now accepting applications for scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year for the following programmes:
Business:

Computer Sciences:
- Computer Science BSc (Hons)
- Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence BSc (Hons)
- Information Technology Management BSc (Hons)
* Disclaimer: the university reserves the right to not run a course if it does not recruit enough students to ensure an appropriate quality of education.
After successfully completing the one-year Foundation programme, students continue their education in their chosen three-year undergraduate degree programme.
Eligibility criteria:
- For high school graduating students: Minimum GPA of 4 out of 5 for Grade 10 (or Grade 11 for the 12-year education system). Report card and school certificate. Report card and school certificate
- For college graduates: For a 3-year program — transcript for Year 2; for a 4-year program — transcript for Year 3, with grades converted to a 5-point scale. Report card and school certificate
- Minimum IELTS requirement — 6.0 (with no less than 5.0 in each section) or an equivalent TOEFL iBT score of 79 or above.
- Only citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan are eligible to apply for scholarships.
- Applications are open exclusively to high school and college graduates of 2026.

Academic Achievement Assessment:
For final-year school students:
- Minimum GPA*: 4 out of 5 for Grade 10 (or Grade 11 in case of a 12-year education system) (report card and school certificate) (Sample)
- Minimum IELTS requirement — 6.0 (with no less than 5.0 in each section) or an equivalent TOEFL iBT score of 79 or above.
For college graduates:
- For a 3-year college program — transcript for Year 2,
or for a 4-year college program — transcript for Year 3 with grades converted to a 5-point scale (Sample) - Minimum IELTS requirement — 6.0 (with no less than 5.0 in each section) or an equivalent TOEFL iBT score of 79 or above.
* If the applicant is an Olympiad Winner he or she can alternatively submit the Olympiad Certificate instead of GPA results.
The winners of Republican and International Olympiads/competitions in general education subjects and professional skills over the last two years are considered.
The winners receive the maximum score according to the GPA criterion. The list of Olympiads/ competitions is in Appendix 1.
Writing assessment (essay) evaluation.
The Essay will be evaluated by the members of the Scholarship Committee according to following Essay scoring criteria:
- Introduction and Conclusion
- Response and Ideation
- Coherence and Cohesion
- Grammatical Accuracy
- Lexical Knowledge and Range
The assessment will be organized at Coventry University Astana – 13A Korgalzhyn Highway, Astana - and in major cities of Kazakhstan (venues to be confirmed).
Detailed information about the locations will be provided to each participant who advances to the second stage.
Results:
The final score is determined based on GPA, IELTS (or equivalent), and the written assessment.
Successful scholarship applicants will be notified in April 2026 via email with a Conditional Offer.
Applicants who did not pass the final selection stage will also be notified by receiving a Rejection Letter via email.
Successful candidates are required to submit the following documents:
- Certificate of successful completion of the UNT* by the end of June 2026 with a minimum score of 50
- School or VTE College Diploma with transcript for the year 2026
*Unified National Test (UNT) - January, March and June certificate results are accepted.
- Overall score: 50 minimum
- Mathematical literacy: 3 points minimum
- Reading literacy: 3 points minimum
- History of Kazakhstan and specialized subjects: 5 points minimum
- Specialised subjects for CUK School of Business: Mathematics, Geography,
- Specialised subjects for CUK School of Computer Sciences: Mathematics, Informatics
In case of document forgery or non-compliance with the requirements, the application will be annulled, and the candidate will be excluded from the competition.
If any violations are identified at any stage of the selection process, even after receiving the scholarship, the admission decision may be revoked.

Olympiad / Competitions winners receive the highest score according to the criterion of the GPA results for 10th grade or 11th grade (for 12-years education) or equivalent.
