On 26 September 2026 at 10:00, students of Coventry University Kazakhstan in Astana took part in a tree-planting initiative as part of the nationwide environmental campaign “Taza Qazaqstan”. The planting took place at a designated site next to the Astana Grand Mosque, 65 Mangilik El Avenue.

Participants planted new trees, making a practical contribution to the greening of the capital and the improvement of its urban environment. The initiative brought students together around a shared goal: caring for the environment and taking an active role in creating a greener future.

Following the planting, a commemorative plaque was installed at the site to recognise the contribution of Coventry University Kazakhstan students to the Taza Qazaqstan initiative and reflect the project’s shared message: “Together for a Greener Future”.

For Coventry University Kazakhstan, student participation in community initiatives is an important part of engagement with the city.
