Students of Coventry University Kazakhstan achieved notable success at Jastar Jalyny 2025, an annual creative and sports student festival held in Astana from November 15 to 16.

The festival brought together students from 17 universities in the capital and featured 10 competitive categories covering both creative and sports disciplines. Coventry University Kazakhstan students participated in 7 categories, including pop vocal performance, football, modern dance, chess, volleyball, theatre performance, and mobilography.

As a result of strong performances across multiple disciplines, CUK students secured third place in chess, football, and theatre performance. Notably, the Chess Club’s third-place finish marked the club’s first-ever podium placement at a university-level tournament, representing an important milestone in its development.

The achievements reflect the university’s commitment to fostering student engagement beyond academics and supporting talent in both creative and sporting activities.
