Coventry University Kazakhstan Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Astana Hub

The Memorandum of Understanding between Astana Hub and Coventry University Kazakhstan was signed in Astana on 10 June 2026. The document was signed by Valeriya Tyo, Managing Director of Astana Hub, and Miras Daulenov, President of Coventry University Kazakhstan.

The Memorandum establishes a strategic framework for cooperation between Kazakhstan’s leading international university and the country’s largest digital technology hub. The partnership is aimed at strengthening the connection between higher education, the innovation ecosystem, and industry by creating new opportunities for Coventry University Kazakhstan students in Astana and Almaty.

As part of the cooperation, students will have access to practical engagement opportunities within Astana Hub’s ecosystem, including internships, participation in innovation projects, industry-led initiatives, and accelerator programmes such as Astana Innovations Accelerator and Silkway Accelerator. The partnership will also support guest lectures, expert sessions, professional development activities, and joint initiatives in entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and technology-driven innovation.

“This Memorandum marks an important step in expanding practical learning opportunities for our students and strengthening Coventry University Kazakhstan’s role as a bridge between international education and Kazakhstan’s innovation ecosystem. Through our partnership with Astana Hub, students in Astana and Almaty will be able to engage with real industry projects, develop future-ready skills, and gain exposure to the fast-growing digital technology sector. We believe this cooperation will create meaningful pathways for young talent to contribute to Kazakhstan’s digital economy,” said Miras Daulenov, President of Coventry University Kazakhstan.

“For Astana Hub, developing partnerships with leading universities is an important part of our mission to build a sustainable digital technology ecosystem. We see our role as bridging education and industry by creating conditions in which students and young professionals gain access to real-world technology challenges, international expertise, and practical experience. Cooperation with Coventry University strengthens this approach and expands opportunities for training a new generation of talent capable of working in a global technology environment,” said Valeriya Tyo, Managing Director of Astana Hub.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing industry-ready graduates, supporting innovation-driven education, and expanding collaboration between academic institutions and Kazakhstan’s technology sector.
